1964 Chevrolet Impala Sport
The numbers-matching 409ci V8 was rated at 425 gross horsepower when new and is said to have been rebuilt and balanced by drag racer Steve Carbone. The engine features two four-barrel carburetors under a dual-snorkel air cleaner, an aluminum intake manifold, and chrome scalloped rocker covers.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. A dual exhaust system exits under the rear bumper.
Black-painted 14″ steel wheels wear polished hubcaps and are mounted with BFGoodrich Silvertown bias-ply tires. The car is equipped with unassisted steering and brakes.The body was originally Silver Blue according to the cowl tag, and the selling dealer states that it was repainted in its current black in 1990. The bumpers were also reportedly rechromed, and the window felts are said to have been replaced
